Our Diocese

We are blessed to be a part of the Diocese of Stockton.


The Dio­cese of Stockton comprises the coun­ties of San Joaquin, Stanis­laus, Calav­eras, Tuolumne, Alpine, and Mono. There are 85 priests that ser­ve 35 parishes and 14 missions.

 Bishop Cotta

The Bishop is chief shep­herd of the Dio­cese. He has been ordained to teach the Word of God, assisted by var­i­ous min­istries of the Church.

He gov­erns the local Church in the name of Christ…and he sanc­ti­fies the peo­ple through the ​admin­is­tra­tion of the Sacra­ments and by spir­i­tual for­ma­tion and training.
